A great way to add effect to your digital painting is to use textures. It's easy to apply and fast... however I do prefer a personal touch by painting my own texture via a number of brushes. This download contains brushes I've used specifically to create my 'Scar Face' portrait and similar paintings.

In truth, these brushes are very simple with basic results... so HOW they're used will be up to you :)
